Pastime Metrotown Grand Opening to Feature J.T. Miller & Gino Odjick

Pastime Metrotown Grand Opening to Feature J.T. Miller & Gino Odjick

We are ecstatic to announce that Pastime Metrotown is officially open! This store becomes Pastime’s fourth retail location after Langley, Surrey and Tsawwassen, and our first on the Vancouver side of the bridge. Located in the Grand Court on the lower level of Metropolis near Toys R Us, the new store will feature the best in sports memorabilia, trading cards, Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Games Workshop, and much more.

Burnaby collectors will recognize the familiar location as the former home of Collector’s Den, which opened in Metropolis at Metrotown in 1998. Collector’s Den co-founder Daryl Weiss and his son Hunter are joining the Pastime team and will continue to manage the Metrotown location in this new era.

“I cannot put into words how much I am looking forward to working with Daryl and Hunter in this new adventure,” wrote Pastime owner Ken Richardson. “Special people build special places and experiences that will last a lifetime.”

To celebrate the start of this exciting chapter in Pastime’s 26 year history, we will be hosting two autograph signings over the weekend. On Saturday, October 26 at 1pm, our good friend and Vancouver Canucks fan favourite Gino Odjick will be signing free autographs (one per person, with additional autographs benefiting the Ron Dunkley Memorial Society). Each attendee will receive a FREE pack of Upper Deck hockey cards with door prizes being given away throughout the day. We’ll also have fun activities and store specials throughout the day.

The next day at 1pm, J.T. Miller (fresh off his first-ever 4 point night) will join us for his first public signing as a Vancouver Canuck, with autograph tickets available for purchase. Ticket holders will also have the opportunity to have a photo taken with J.T. courtesy of our photographer. As a special promotion, customers who purchase a current stitched name-and-number jersey will receive a FREE autograph ticket.

The festivities will continue into the next weekend as BC Lions legends and Grey Cup Champions Geroy Simon & Travis Lulay visit Pastime Metrotown on Sunday, November 3. Come on over to talk football, watch CFL games on our in-store TVs, and get a free autograph from Geroy & Travis. Additional autographs will be available for a minimum $10 donation each to a local charity (TBD).
